BARRE ABOVE

Barre Above is a totally unique approach to barre workouts as you've seen them.  Fusing the very best of Pilates, yoga, cardio and using elements of strengthening exercises.  Challenge and sculpt your body without risk of overuse by using a sequence of movements within different ranges of motion.  No barre necessarily required and minimal equipment is used.

BEGINNER YOGA

Welcome to yoga!  Rachel will guide you through the core principles of the yoga postures, breath techniques, and some yoga philosophy you can apply to your life off the mat.  Each class will begin with an exercise to ground yourself, then some warm ups and stretches.  We'll flow slowly through a sequence of poses, merging the breath with movement.  In each class we may workshop one posture in detail to support your mastery of the poses with safe alignment.  Each class will end in a savasana to "absorb" the nutrients of your practice.

BODY CONDITIONING

After a warm-up, this class concentrates on a complete upper and lower body workout using hand weights. Since weight size is up to the participant, this workout is for beginners as well as for more experienced weight lifters. Proper form will be stressed to minimize undue strain to the muscles and joints. The one-hour workout ends with abdominal work and stretching. If you like the combination of sculpting and stretching, this class is for you!

CARDIO DRUMMING

Crank up the fun with Cardio Drumming at the Rec Center. Cardio Drumming combines a full body cardio workout with music, drumming, and rhythm that gets people moving. This class is perfect for all levels of fitness experience.

INDOOR CYCLING
BIKE BOOTCAMP

Cardio and strength training in one class.  Bike Bootcamp is a blend of cycling and lifting weights.  Combining upper and lower body strength exercises, together with cycling in between helps to increase heart rate and burn more calories, compared to cardio on its own.  The instructor will choose the course each ride take, motivating you to reach your goals along the way.  All levels are welcome! 

Bring a water bottle, towel, and your own cycle shoes (the bikes are compatible with standard SPD clips). If you do not have cycle shoes, no problem – you can wear your sneakers, our pedals have cages to keep your foot in place!

If new to cycling, please arrive 10 minutes early to allow for proper individualized bike set up.

CYCLING
This 60-minute, high-intensity interval training, indoor cycling workout will get  your blood pumping.  Whether it's an endurance climb or a series of short intervals, these indoor cycling classes are designed to add a great cardiovascular challenge to anyone's workout.  The instructor will choose the course each ride takes, motivating you to reach your goals along the way.  In addition, each class will include a strength-based work, off the bike. All levels are welcome!

HIIT

This hour-long High Intensity Interval Training class will focus on cardio and strength conditioning exercises. A wide range of muscle groups will be targeted throughout the workout using a variety of equipment. The workout will end with ab work and stretching. Modifications will be suggested for all fitness levels.

PILATES

This Pilates class includes exercises that will promote core strength and  exercises that stress proper posture, movement patterns, balance, flexibility and strength. Learn to engage muscles you didn't even know you had. If you are looking for a workout that will leave you feeling stronger and balanced, look no further! All levels welcome. PILATES SCULPT

Pilates Sculpt is a modern twist on a classic work out! This class focuses on a variation of the Pilates mat workout using various props (BOSU, bands, foam roller, light hand weights, Pilates Magic Circle, etc.) and contemporary movements. Exercises are presented at multiple levels allowing participants to work at a beginning, intermediate or advanced pace. You'll strengthen your core, tone your hips, thighs, and glutes and flatten your abs!

POWER YOGA

Looking for a mind-body practice done to music that will challenge your whole body while calming your mind? Weight training through the use of your own body weight will increase your lean body mass while improving your stamina, strength, flexibility, and balance. This is advanced yoga class and not for beginners.

SHiNE

SHiNE Dance Fitness brings original routines to life using hit music and choreography for all abilities. Rooted in jazz, ballet, and hip-hop, this workout gives you a creative outlet to escape from daily stress. Each class includes the perfect balance of high cardio and toning to ensure you receive a full-body workout with real results. SHiNE is a mood-lifting experience that leaves you feeling capable, confident, and connected to a supportive community.

STRENGTHEN, STRETCH & TONE

Participants will have the opportunity to work all major muscle groups in an effort to grow stronger and more flexible. Class may use weights, balls, bands, straps and includes a focus on moving from the core. We will begin with a warm-up followed by strength work on the biceps, triceps, chest, back, quads, hamstrings, abs/abductors and all abdominal groups. All fitness levels welcome.

TOTAL FITNESS

This class is fun for all ages and fitness levels. A low impact cardio workout is followed by toning with weights, exercise bands or stability balls. Abdominal and other floor exercises enhanced by Pilates and yoga moves as well as soothing stretches will leave everyone energized and feeling great.

WEIGHTS, ABS 'N CORE

Looking for a head-to-toe workout? Here it is! We’ll use hand weights (you pick the weight), Exer-tubes, benches and mats to get a full body workout. Everyone can do this class - progress at your pace.

ZUMBA

Perfect for everybody!  Each Zumba class is designed to bring people together to sweat it out.  We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party.  Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise.
