Safe Watch

This is the Saline Department's Safe Watch program, which has been designed to gather pertinent and recent information on individual(s) who may have a condition or disability that would cause them to wander from their safe environment. The department is committed to the safety of all our residents. Currently, this service is provided to community members within the City of Saline.

How it works:

  • Strictly voluntary
  • Complete the fillable form at the bottom of the page
  • Option to download a photograph
  • Once the information is submitted, it will be entered in our dispatch center and attached to the address provided as a “premise flag.”
  • A “premise flag” prompts the dispatcher to look for additional information for that address.  For example, if you have a family member who is “non-verbal”, this information will be provided by the dispatcher to the responding officer prior to arrival. If you have a family member with dementia, for example, you can provide us a photograph so when officers are responding to your address, they can begin looking for your loved one. The photograph can also assist other officers who will be searching for your family member as well.
