Park Pavilion Rentals

Park pavilions are the perfect place to host birthday parties, wedding receptions, graduation parties, family reunions and more. Reservations for the pavilions at Mill Pond, Curtiss and Tefft Parks can be made at the Saline Department of Public Works (DPW) (734) 429-5624, for more information.

Rental Application

Mill Pond Park
A 54-acre park located at the end of Bennett Street west of Ann Arbor Street.
Features: ROMP play structure, trails, picnic area, pavilion, 2-acre natural area, soccer fields, permanent restrooms, grills and a 1 acre fenced dog park.

Curtiss Park 
A50-acre park located on the south side of Michigan Avenue west of Monroe Street. 
Features: play area, Max Adler Trail, fishing/observation deck, pavilion, .7 acre natural area, a ball field and an orienteering course.

Tefft Park 
A 34-acre park located on Woodland Drive between Textile Rd and Industrial Dr. 
Features: Two play structures, disc golf, walking trails, lighted tennis courts, softball fields, sand volleyball, picnic area, pavilion, and a 5.5 acre natural area.

Pavilions are rented out in three time blocks or all day, choose one or several blocks of time. 
Requested Time Blocks: 8 a.m.- 12 p.m., 12:30 - 4:30 p.m., 5 - 11 p.m.

Park Pavilion Rental Policies

  1. Park pavilion rental applications must be made at least thirty (30) days prior to the requested date.
  2. Park hours are 6 a.m. – 11 p.m.
  3. Only one (1) request allowed per application.
  4. The entire rental fee must be submitted at the same time of the application.
  5. Applications for the current year will be accepted no earlier than the first business day of January of that year on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  6. Applications are processed within fourteen (14) days of receiving application. Renter will be notified in writing of confirmation or denial. A copy of the receipt will be sent when the reservation is confirmed.
  7. Additional charges for damages and/or improper cleanup will be the renter’s responsibility.
  8. Cancellation Policy: DPW reserves the right to cancel a rental at any time due to facility or park issues.  A full refund will be issued in this situation.  Cancellation by renter must be provided seven (7) days prior to the requested rental date for a full refund (less a $10 administration fee).  Cancellation requests provided less than seven (7) days from the requested rental date will result in forfeiting 50% of rental fee.  Cancellation provided less than twenty-four (24) hours will result in loss of all rental fees.  Refunds will not be issued in the event of inclement weather.
  9. Modification Policy: Modification(s) of the park rental request cannot be made less than seven (7) days from the requested rental date.  Any modification(s) requested less than seven (7) days from the requested rental date will result in a cancellation of the original rental application and submitting a new rental application for approval.  Submitting a new application does not guarantee approval of a rental date and/or time block.
  10. All set up and take down will be the responsibility of the renter.
  11. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in City parks.
  12. Park users must obey all park rules and regulations, City codes and ordinances.
  13. In case of emergency weather, the pavilion will be available to other park users to ensure safety of all individuals in the park.
  14. The pavilion is reserved for only the specific time blocks requested on the rental application. Other rental groups may have reserved the pavilion earlier/later in the day.
  15. Use of tents, canopies, inflatable bouncers, and all rental equipment, is permitted in parks ONLY with prior permission from the Public Works Director. Renters must file a Certificate of Liability naming the City of Saline as an additional and endorsed insured for $1,000,000 per occurrence of accident or injury.  The insurance certificate must be submitted at least fourteen (14) days prior to the requested pavilion rental date.  If the insurance liability form is not received and accepted; the City has the right to ask the renter to remove the tent, canopy, inflatable bouncers, and all rental equipment immediately.
  16. Mill Pond Park: Electrical outlets are available and can handle a few appliances such as coffee pots, crock pots, etc. If circuits are overloaded, the fuse will trip. If your event requires numerous electrical needs, an outlet box is available for an additional fee.  Special arrangements must be made for that use.  Please contact Department of Public Works (734) 429-5624 if you need special electrical arrangements.
