This house is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as part of the North Ann Arbor Street District.

Architectural Description: This is a one-and-one-half story, cross-gabled, Craftsman style house with a gabled dormer in the center of the front roof. A one-story addition has been added to the rear of the house. The porch has been completely altered in recent years to extend beyond the south side of the house and wrap around to the north side. Although difficult to see in the 1994 photo, the porch was previously full-width and had tapering wood columns, resting on formed concrete piers.

History: The Glynn & Kosky Survey states that Eva Rogers was the original owner of this house and that it was built in ca. 1910. However, evidence exists of earlier occupants. Recent research done by Cynthia Christensen, local historian, indicates that the original foundation is fieldstone and the house has a small basement with a dirt floor. The house was built much earlier than previously documented, by a man named Adna Shaw.
On the 1850 Census, Shaw was listed as a farmer and is listed as living near the Parsons family, south of Saline. In the 1860 Census, Shaw's occupation is shown as "blacksmith" and he is listed as living "several houses up the block from the Gillett family" (203 North Ann Arbor). The name Shaw is shown for the first time in this location on the 1874 Combination Plat Map of Washtenaw County (Everts and Stuart). This property was owned by the Shaw family for forty years before the house was altered to a Craftsman style. The first documented owner by Kosky and Glynn (after the house was altered) was Eva Rogers, who lived here from 1910-1920. Subsequent owners included George and Ada Bracey (1910-1920), George A. Hartmann (1926-1940) and C. Graydon and Doris Everett (1940-1955).
