This house is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as part of the North Ann Arbor Street District.

Architectural Description: This is a two-and-one-half story, cross-gabled Queen Anne style house with free classic detailing. The house has a full width porch with round column supports, which rest on a stone balustrade. The porch roof has a pediment over the entry, accented with a sunburst. The double gables on the east-facing façade contain fishscale shingles and sunbursts. There is a small square window in the upper gable and a Palladian-style window in the lower gable. Each of the side gables contain a small, square window. The entry door is wood, with a glass oval window and there is a diamond shaped window, south of the door. The reaminder of the windows are six lights over six, and eight over eight, with shutters. There is a two-story addition on the rear of the house and a gambrel roof barn is located behind the house (Kosky & Glynn).

History: On the 1921 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map, this property shows a one- story dwelling connected on the south side of a building specializing in hardware, paint and oil. A lumber warehouse is shown to the rear of the property. Earlier Sanborn Maps do not show a dwelling in this location. The address on the 1921 Sanborn Map is 323. The 1920 U.S. Census lists Flavius Ford, merchant at a lumber and hardware store, as living at 323 North Ann Arbor. Ten years prior, on the 1910 Census, Mr. Ford was listed as a boarder, working at the lumber and hardware store. It is possible that he was living somewhere on the property at that time.
