Architectural Description: This is a two-story, gable front and wing folk house. The partial width porch is enclosed. There is a one-story addition to the rear (west) side of the house.

History: According to the Kosky & Glynn Survey, this house was built in ca. 1910 and remodeled in 1935. The 1922 Saline City Directory lists Frank S. (electrician) and Winifred E. Dieterle on "the west side Ann Arbor N. 1 north of tracks." Frank Dieterle’s listed occupation on the 1940 U.S. Census was "farmer." There was a two-an-one-half story livery barn (also built ca. 1910) located behind the house. The barn was demolished recently. Local historian, Robert Lane, stated that a saloon was built on this property in 1882 by a man named John Schaffer, who also owned a saloon in downtown Saline.
