Architectural Description: This is a two-story, gable front and wing Folk House with a rear addition. The enclosed porch on the wing section has wood supports, resting on a fieldstone balustrade.

History: According to the Kosky and Glynn Survey, the 1941 Assessor’s file stated that this house was "an old house moved here forty years ago." 1880 has been given for estimated date of construction on this structure (Kosky & Glynn). Previous owners included Henry and Florine Ormsby, who lived in this house with their four children, according to the 1940 U.S. Census. Henry Ormsby began working at a very young age as a barber and moved to Saline in 1915. His first barber shop was located in the old Feurbacher building on South Ann Arbor Street. Mr. Ormsby's shop was located in several locations over the span of at least six generations (undated Saline Reporter article from Kosky & Glynn research files).
