Architectural Description: This is a gable front and wing, Folk Victorian style house. The gable front section is two stories in height and the wing is one-and-one-half stories. The partial width front porch has tapering wood supports, resting on a solid fieldstone balustrade. The house appears to have undergone exterior renovations in recent years, with newer siding, windows and the addition of shutters on the upper wing window on the east (front) façade.

History: Orrin Briggs built this house in ca. 1900. Mr. Briggs also owned 409 North Ann Arbor Street and a planing mill to the south of 409.
