Architectural Description: This is a side-gabled Dutch Colonial style house with a gambrel roof. The front (east) façade has two gambrel dormers and a full-width porch. The south elevation contains a bay window. The exterior is clad in cedar shingles and most of the windows are original. According to the 2007 Study Committee Report, a cistern still exists in this house and a gutter drains to the cistern.

History: This house was built sometime between 1900 and 1905 by Alfred Humphrey, postmaster. Mr. Humphrey lived here with his wife until at least 1916. Julius Feldkamp owned the house from 1920-1935. There was a succession of owners afterward, including Thomas Schurtz, who owned a handle factory on West Bennett Street. The house appears to have the same layout today as on the 1921 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map.
