Architectural Description: This is a two-story, vernacular, cross-gabled Folk Victorian house. The gables include prominent cornice returns and a sunburst pattern within the upper portion of the gable. There is a cutaway bay on the south façade and an addition in the rear of the house. The front porch was altered at some point in the 1990s to include a full wrap around porch with column supports and a new concrete foundation.

History: Delos Townsend was probably the first owner of this house, which was built in 1899. The city directory listed him as living on Adrian Street in 1899, although his obituary indicated he had moved to the city in 1907. Following Mr. Townsend’s wife’s death in 1918, he sold the house to C.A. Jordan, who was the local postmaster (Kosky & Glynn).
