Architectural Description: This two-story red brick structure has a simplified Art Moderne style. It has a cube shape with the front door located in the center of the façade. Although the windows are symmetrically placed, they vary in size, from single pane to two-over-two windows to double two-over-two windows to a large single pane on the second story of the façade (upper west side). A one-story attached garage has been converted into a living space. This house was once divided into three apartments.
History: Harry Cogar built this house in 1954. An article in the Saline Observer dated July 27, 1967, stated that Mr. Cogar was employed at the University of Michigan as a supervisor in the plant department and volunteered for the City of Saline as chairman of the of the summer recreation department.
