Architectural Description: This is a one-story Ranch style house with a hipped roof and a one-story addition on the north side of the house. This house reflects many features of a typical Minimal Traditional house. This style was often associated with tract housing, as the case in Levittown, New York (built 1947-1951). This type of house was typically built before and after World War ll as infill in established neighborhoods. These houses were often small and had low to medium-pitched hipped or gable roofs with very close eaves. They commonly had substantial chimneys and minimal ornamentation on the exterior.
Detached garages were also common and were set back on the property.
