Architectural Description: This is a two-story gable front vernacular house that once had Craftsman details, such as the triangular knee bracing shown in the front gable in the 1994 Survey photo. The full-width porch roof has been altered significantly. At the time of the Kosky & Glynn Survey in 1994, the porch had a shed roof and stocky support columns resting on square piers. Currently, the porch has a front gable roof and plain support columns.

History: Merritt and Genevieve Barr Martin built this house in 1922. Mrs. Martin was George Barr’s daughter (of 213 South Ann Arbor St). In the 1950s, the Martins moved to 275 South Ann Arbor, which had been the home of John Henry Barr, Genevieve’s grandfather.
