Architectural Description: Constructed of concrete block with vertical siding, this is a one-story gable front and wing vernacular Folk house. It is situated to the rear of 257 South Ann Arbor Street. This house is approximately 750 square feet and does not have a basement. The door is on the front gable section, which faces east. Several modifications have been done to the façade since the 1994 survey, including the removal of a door, the addition of tall, paired windows on the north end of the wing and a complete window replacement on south end of the wing. Landscape improvements include a new sidewalk leading to the front door and driveway to the south of the structure.

History: This house was built on ca. 1910 as a mother-in-law’s house to accompany the house situated in front (address 257). The mother-in-law's house did not have a separate address initially. The structure was labeled “a garage house” in the city assessor’s files from 1947.
