Architectural Description: This is a two-story gable front Folk house, resting on a stone foundation. There is a partial front porch with wood supports as well as a side addition and porch. A two-story rear addition was added in 2005. A two-car garage is also in the rear of the house, facing north. Modifications include the new siding and roof. The brick chimney in the 1994 survey photo on the south elevation has been removed.

History: Early owners included Henry Albert Harris and his wife Samantha, who presumably built this house in 1880 (Kosky & Glynn). Local historian, Bob Lane has reason to believe that his house may have been built much earlier. Further fiels study and deed research will be necessary to add to the history of this home. The Harris family remained here until after Mr. Harris’ death in 1909. The next owners were Lewelling and Mary Jane Rogers, followed by Sela and Eva Fitzgerald. Sela was the deputy sheriff as well as manager of the Saline Opera House.
