Description: This is a one-and-one-half story Craftsman style house with a cobblestone foundation. The majority of the windows have three vertical lights over one. There is a gabled dormer in center front roof, with a ribbon of windows. There is an open wrapped porch on the front (west) and north elevations with a cobblestone balustrade and square brick piers supporting the roof. The brick piers are repeated on all sides of the enclosed section of the porch on the west and south elevations. The porch has undergone several changes since the house was built. In the 1937 Aerial Photo of Saline, the porch appeared to be enclosed. A 1964 photo from an assessor’s file showed the north end of the porch as being screened in. At the time of the 1994 survey, the porch was again enclosed.
The house is currently being remodeled by the owner.

History: Herman Heininger built this house in 1926 and remained there until his death in 1965. His heirs sold the house in 1966. Herman owned Heininger and Heininger, a Chrysler, Wills-Knight, Overland and Star dealership (Kosky and Glynn).
