Architectural Description: This two-and-one-half story Queen Anne style house has a hipped roof with lower cross-gables. The wrap-around porch has wood turned supports and a wood balustrade. There is a side entry porch on the east elevation containing spindlework supports and freize. The front porch roof features a stylized sunburst in the roof gable, which was described but was not evident on the 1994 Kosky & Glynn survey photo. The upper gables have fishscale shingles, paired small windows, and sunbursts in the peaks. The lower level of the façade has a large single-paned window with a narrow, rectangular, horizontal window above it. The black shutters were removed and the porch detailing was changed at some point between 1994-2004, when an additional survey photo was taken. There is a two-story addition to the rear of the house and a one-car, hipped roof garage is located on the property.
History: This house was built in 1900. Sam Wilson, proprietor of the Saline Observer, lived here until 1914. According to historical research by Kosky & Glynn Associates, Thomas Henderson owned the house from 1920-1935. Joseph F. and Sophie Niethammer were listed in the 1940 U.S. Census at this address.
